Great Falls, Mont. — Vision Net, a Montana-based telecommunications solution provider, was recently honored with the Medium-Sized Business of the Year Award by the Great Falls Area Chamber of Commerce. The award was based on nominations from more than 600+ business members. When considering all employees and other business partners, this number exceeds 6,000 people connected to the Chamber and able to nominate their choice. As noted during the awards ceremony, Vision Net, received an overwhelming number of positive recommendations. This is the second Chamber award for the company. Last year, the Chamber recognized now-retired Vision Net Marketing Manager Nick Schlueter as its 2019 Boss of the Year.
Vision Net CEO Corey Jensen said he and his team were thrilled to learn of the 2020 award. “The Chamber is a valuable partner to the many businesses in our community and their recognition is truly an honor,” he said. “We are humbled to be counted among the many other outstanding Great Falls businesses considered for this award.”
Great Falls Area Chamber President and CEO Shane Etzwiler said that while it’s always a tough decision, Vision Net stood out for its strong company culture and reputation. “We consider many different factors as we narrow down the nominees,” he said. “One thing I like to ask is ‘do they retain their employees?’ Vision Net impressed us with its focus on employees paired with a high retention rate. Many employees have been with the company for decades. It’s quite remarkable.”
Etzwiler also considered Vison Net’s longevity in the industry, noting that company began in 1995 — just as the internet was taking hold. “We were impressed with all that Vision Net has accomplished, growing and adapting with the many technological advancements we’ve seen and experienced over the past couple decades. And it was a thrill to recognize the company this year, as they celebrate their 25th anniversary.”
