Net Neutrality Public Disclosure
Vision Net provides network transport, Internet transit and peering connectivity to Internet service providers, large and small businesses and government agencies.
Vision Net’s network management policies demand that all legal IP (Internet Protocol) traffic is treated equally on our network. Harmful or egregious traffic is blocked when possible to protect our customers from being compromised (i.e. DDOS attacks). Quality of Service (QOS) technology is utilized to ensure critical traffic is uncompromised. Vision Net does not throttle legal traffic or utilize data caps.
Vision Net provides its customers with performance metrics for all of the network services we provide. Commercial terms and pricing of network transport and Internet service vary by contract term and volume of service(s).
Vision Net strives to ensure that customer information is secure and remains confidential. Access to databases containing customer information is limited to employees who need it to perform their jobs, and they follow strict guidelines when using the information. Confidential records are protected and maintained in a secure environment. We use locks and physical security measures, log-in and password control procedures, and internal audits as appropriate for the information stored to protect against unauthorized access to our systems.
Vision Net does use customer information internally for planning purposes. This information is typically used in aggregate and does not include individual customer identification. Should Vision Net ever decide to use telephone, direct mail or email promotions, customers will have the ability to have their names removed from any lists associated with this marketing activity.
Vision Net does not share customer information with entities outside of Vision Net unless required by law to do so. If Vision Net is served with a valid legal process for customer identification, we may be required to release this information. Under certain circumstances we share customer information with other network carriers and with law enforcement to prevent and investigate fraud and other unlawful use of our services.
Vision Net may use customer financial information to verify customer qualifications, and to bill for products and services. When customers transmit credit card information to us, the credit card information is protected with SSL (secure socket layer) encryption.
Vision Net may, where permitted by law, provide customer information to credit bureaus or collection agencies in order to collect payment for Vision Net billed products and services.
Customers may, at any time, review information that we have stored on them.
